Okay, so I got the DW binding jig built and I made some test cuts on scraps and got the guitar body in the carriage with the sides perpindicular to the table as well as I could, but when I made the first cut the cut is too shallow and slants from the inside to the outside, meaning it is very shallow on the inside of the channel and deeper to the outside of the channel. Does the body of the guitar need to also be level or parallel with the trimmer. I'm stumped. |

Jeremiah, I have no experience with this machine but I think the crucial set up factor would be to have the sides square to the table so that they are perpendicular, all the way around the guitar. I would think that orientation of the top and back are not too important as they are somewhat curved anyway but your sides should be flat, top to back. Maybe someone with experience on this machine will help you out more! Cheers Shane |

Yep...the sides have to be perpendicular to the table. It's also important to make sure the router is perpendicular to the table. You really need to pay careful attention to that during the construction stage. Go check my website if you need to. It's crucial... |
